Welcome on PngFactory v6.0 !

We are happy to welcome you on this improved, rewrote and new-look version of PngFactory. Because it’s not only an update that we introduce today, but much more...

The PHP code of the gallery has been rewritten. A new code more powerful, more efficient, to facilitate future updates. A new code fully integrated into the site/forum engine, based on vBulletin system. The Interaction between all sections may now be increased easily and we have more possibilities than before.

The gallery is now fully integrated into the site new design. It retains its independence using its own logo and left blocs but share the same header for quick access to other sections of the site. Javascript has been used more often, making the interface much more modern (who says 2.0 web ?!...)

But the real add-ons of this v6.0 are the features, and they don’t miss!
First of all, a new homepage, that shows last activities on the gallery. Last PNG files, last comments, and especially a dedicated news feature to informe you about last updates. This homepage also come up with a 'Coup de coeur' selection, chosen each week, limelighting works of one of our artists.

Then, in bulk:

• A browsing mode more practical, based on the vBulletin pagination method, to jump between remote pages quickly. The navigation options are still available but recorded into your member profile. You could find them back from any computer.
• An improved and bug-fixed search feature that allows keywords and filters mix with a unique send button.
• The ability to download icon as png file of course, but also as ico file, in XP or Vista format, thanks to the excellent ToyCon software by Lefreut.
• To submit your creations, an upload page that allows you to upload up to 5 png files simultaneously. Add, remove a form, it's as simple as a mouse click.
• A management system of the licenses which proposes, besides the original license of the gallery, the six Creative Commons licensing agreements to share your work with more flexibility. More agreements could be added on demand.
• The cart is still available to batch your favourite icons and download them in a zip file. As the navigation options, the cart content is also recorded in your member profile.
• A new private zone to manage your activities in the gallery. Management of your pngs, management of your suites, checking of your comments, we have wanted this zone to be practical and useful. It’s almost sure that the batch treatment should delight the more productive artists who manage tens, or hundreds of pngs.
• A translation feature, shared with the forum. If you choose English language in your forum control panel, the gallery’s also translated in English. You will find small flags in the header for switching quickly between available languages.
• And to close the list, the arrival of first Ajax features, to relieve the interface and make it easier.
